Frequently Asked Questions

What material is the mounting system constructed of?

Each set of RDFF Ladder Mounts are Precision CNC machined aerospace grade 7075-T6 Aluminum, excluding the L bracket which is constructed of high tensile strength 6061-T6 Aluminum.

What material is the restraint housing made of?

Every rapid deployment restraint housing is precision machined 6061-T6 Aluminum. It is then welded to a 3x3 plate that is riveted to the interior beams of the Search Ladder. The location was strategically selected to maximize the length of the webbing without having to increase the size of the housing or decrease the allotted webbing.

Does the Search Ladder have a certified safety rating?

Yes! Our manufacturer of the Search Ladder is well experienced with aluminum ladder production, and as such prioritized the safety rating to maintain their highest in-house testing to receive a rating of ANSI Type IA. This certification allows the ladder to be tested yearly by your 3rd party company, unlike ladders that are cut down to be used as a 1st floor ladder which immediately voids any certification.

The Search Ladder exceeds all NFPA weight testing standards.

Is the victim restraint system tested for victim use?

Absolutely, our webbing is fully tested and certified from approved manufacturers. It is cut, sewn, and assembled using controlled processes, then tested to ensure that it will not fail with emergency victim removal.
